Start Saturday with the Charlotte Track Club 5K Showdown, a 5K built around friendly competition between local run clubs. Whether you’re chasing a fast finish or joining the team atmosphere, individual runners are welcome too.
Team challenge
- Teams need at least five and at most fifteen runners.
- Each team’s top five finishers score points based on finishing place, not finishing time. The lowest total wins.
- Sixth-place finishers are used to break ties; additional runners may displace other teams’ scorers.
- Clubs may enter multiple teams.
If you’d like to represent Stride City Run Club, coordinate with other members so there are enough runners for a team. Team lineup and meetup details haven’t been announced here.
Race morning
- Where: Frank Liske Park, 4001 Stough Rd, Concord, NC 28027
- Packet pickup: 7:00–8:00 AM at the park. Pickup closes at 8:00 AM.
- Start: 9:00 AM sharp. The start area closes after runners take off.
- Distance: 5K (3.1 miles).
